DungeonWorld Guilds : Player Info

Joining A Guild & Leaving A Guild

Before joining a guild, have a look at the information available in the "active guilds" section of this website. See if the guilds ideas and roleplay seem suited to your style of play. Look at the guilds website, check out their discussion groups, read their Cauldron entries.

Next, be SURE you understand what joining a guild means. Different guilds come with different rules and regulations. You may not be allowed to leave one you join, for instance. Guild Leaders have *total* control over their guilds. They set the rules, and it is they who decide if you can or can't join. If they don't want your character as a member that is their decision and they do not need to supply a reason.

If you are sure of your interest in a guild, email the Guild Leader and tell them your character name, character type and a reason why you want to join the guild. They will check that you are applicable to join the guild and will help you from there. ON NO ACCOUNTS email Madhouse about joining a guild. You can only deal with the players who are guild leaders and Madhouse do not interfere with guild memberships.

Leaving a guild is sometimes easy, sometimes impossible. If you don't want to be a member any more, tell your guild leader. If the guild allows resignations then that's fine, you'll be removed shortly. If the guild does not, that is their perogative. You can try and roleplay your way out from within the game, but Madhouse will not get involved in guild matters like this (so please don't ask.)
